Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026ATHLETICA: Student-Athlete AI ("we," "our," "the app," or "ATHLETICA") is a training and team-management app for athletes and coaches. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Account information. ATHLETICA uses anonymous authentication — we do not require an email address, phone number, or password to create an account. When you sign up, we collect the name you enter, your role (athlete or coach), and the team you join or create.
Profile information. Sport, position, school, grade, goals, primary goal, and dietary restrictions you choose to enter, plus an optional profile photo you upload.
Training data. Daily wellness check-ins (sleep, mental state, soreness, and whether you're feeling sick), which we use to calculate a readiness score, along with task completions, clip submissions and coach review notes, and recognition posts/comments you send or receive on your team's board.
Film clips and AI-generated notes. If you submit a practice or game clip through FRAME, a few still frames from that clip are sent to Anthropic (the maker of Claude) to generate short, automated "first-look" observations. These notes are visible to you and your coach, and are always labeled as AI-generated. See Third-Party Services below for more on how Anthropic handles this data.
Device information. A push notification token, used only to deliver notifications about tasks, recognition, and film notes — nothing else.
How We Use Information
We use the information above to run the app's core features: showing your team roster, calculating readiness and streaks, delivering coach feedback, and sending push notifications you've enabled. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your information to third parties.
Third-Party Services
ATHLETICA is built on Supabase, which hosts our database, authentication, and file storage. Supabase processes data on our behalf under its own security practices.
If you submit a film clip, a small number of still frames extracted from that clip are sent to Anthropic's API to generate AI First-Look Notes. Anthropic processes this image data to generate the notes returned to the app; it is not used to train Anthropic's models under their API terms as of this writing, and is not shared by Anthropic with any other party. Submitting a clip is optional — AI notes are generated automatically for clips you choose to submit, but submitting a clip is never required to use the rest of the app.
We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not share your data with any third party beyond Supabase and, for clip submissions specifically, Anthropic as described above.
Data Sharing Within Your Team
Some information is visible to other members of your team by design: your name, sport, profile photo, and posts on the recognition board are visible to teammates and your coach. Daily wellness check-ins, readiness scores, and film notes are visible to your coach.
Data Retention & Deletion
You can delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings. When you do, we remove your profile, photos, and training history. Some content you've posted to a shared team feed (such as recognition posts) may remain visible to teammates in an anonymized form, since it was shared with your team.
Children's Privacy
If your team includes athletes under 13, a coach or guardian should supervise account creation and app use. We do not knowingly collect more information from a child than is necessary for the app's core team-management features.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
